What began as a project for a UH Hilo class studying the Literature of Hawaiʻi has evolved to include both written literature and staged drama of Hawaiʻi and other parts of the Pacific.
 

This website contains our critiques of literary and dramatic works of Hawaiʻi, as well as those from neighboring Pacific Island nations. We share our research on the historic and cultural contexts for these works, as well as interviews of a variety of writers: authors, poets, song writers, and playwrights.

 

The opinions expressed in these postings are those of the individual students, who have been encouraged to engage in open, respectful dialogue regarding the issues and the works being explored.
